Without prior announcement, iRacing has added another track to their lineup today by making the Darlington Raceway available for purchase.

Located in Darlington, South Carolina, Darlington Raceway is a somewhat unusual 1.33 mile egg-shaped oval. Nicknamed the “Track too tough to tame”, the oval features two very different ends as turns 3 & 4 are much more narrow than turns 1 & 2, giving the track a unique layout.

Due to the fact that the racing line through those turns is very close to the wall, the track is also known as the “Lady in Black” as many cars make contact with the wall during the race, turning the once white walls black. The track is hosting annual NASCAR Sprint Cup & Nationwide rounds which are followed by 65.000 spectators.

The track is now available to be purchased for $20, only one configuration is available. In related news, iRacing has also announced a new partnership with the Sports Car Club of America, making iRacing the official SCCA motorsport simulation. SCCA members can take advantage of a special $75 annual rate, more than 50 percent discount on the regular price.
