Without prior announcement, iRacing has added another track to their lineup today by making the Darlington Raceway available for purchase.

Located in Darlington, South Carolina, Darlington Raceway is a somewhat unusual 1.33 mile egg-shaped oval. Nicknamed the “Track too tough to tame”, the oval features two very different ends as turns 3 & 4 are much more narrow than turns 1 & 2, giving the track a unique layout.

iRacing.com has just announced that a new build of their online racing simulation is planned to be made available on Tuesday the 28th.

The new version will introduce a bunch of changes and make several new content items available. Here’s an interesting new rumor for open-wheel fans as hints are popping up, suggesting that iRacing could be adding the United States’ most popular open-wheel series to their simulation in the future.

Indycar fans visting the series’ official homepage are currently getting a special deal from iRacing, being able to subscribe for three months for $25. Furthermore, iRacing is now the sponsor of the series’ RaceControl video streaming site.
